Collaborators

The Institute is the node that orchestrates a network of equals: government, business, academic institutions and civil society. Materializing out of Deusto Foundation, it has the decided support of the Basque Government via the Sociedad para la Promoción y Reconversión Industrial and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. Both institutions took part in launching a project destined to play a major role in supporting competitive strategies.

But however important it is to cooperate with local and regional authorities, the Institute would be clearly incomplete if it excluded firms and other private organizations. Right from the start major business groups became involved in the initiative.

Thus, a number of public authorities and private firms take an active part in Orkestra and their cooperation is vital to its development and success:

The Sociedad para la Promoción y Reconversión Industrial (SPRI) is the business development agency created in 1981 by the Basque Government to provide back-up and services to Basque industry.
